Michelle and I had a wonderful day with Joshua yesterday. Michelle was able to feed him twice and hold him for several hours. He ate 10ml during the first feeding @6pm (although he spit up 2-3 of them) and got dow 20 at 9pm. The nurse said the doctor set 56ml (2oz) as the target amount.

We had a wonderful visit at the NICU this morning. The nurse told us that Joshua had enjoyed a very comfortable night. He was still sleeping soundly when we arrived. Joshua had a rough night last night as the anesthesia gradually wore off. They had to give him oxygen once and have him on a rotation of Tylenol and Morphine. Joshua got visits from many of his relatives as well as from many folks from chruch. Aunt Laura and cousin Andrew were there for the delivery and the rest of the Chymists arrived soon after. At the suggestion of Barry Webb, some of the church folks came over and sang “Happy Birthday” to Joshua on his birthday. Brother Webb said it was a shame that most kids have to wait a whole year to hear the song. The choir was composed of the Henderson family and Lydia Deason.
